Setting the Game Plan
Dale and I are trying to have a child. Some of y'all have already heard a bit about this and know that we've had some difficulty. (As in 2 years and no luck.) So back in April, I went to an OB/GYN for a consultation. She wanted to have us try for another three months, then report back. Still no luck, and I even used 4 or 5 boxes of ovulation test kits and never even got a positive on those. So Dale and I met with the nurse practioner this morning. She's sending me for bloodwork to start checking hormone levels and such. And we were sent home with a little cup for Dale.
If we both check out ok, then we're going to try some pill that's supposed to induce ovulation. If that doesn't work, then I get to have a very uncomfortable sounding x-ray. After that... we discuss more alternatives.
We won't know know the results of either of our tests for another week and a half, but I'm just rather bummed right now, and waiting for results isn't going to be easy for either of us. :P
